Dr. Muhammed Bhuiyan is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Engineering at RMIT University, specializing in environmental and civil engineering. His research focuses on sustainable infrastructure, wastewater treatment, microplastic mitigation, and corrosion prevention in construction materials. He actively supervises PhD and Master's students on topics such as nanomaterial-based membranes, stormwater management, and circular economy strategies. Dr. Bhuiyan’s work integrates computational modeling, life cycle assessment (LCA), and advanced material science to address environmental challenges. His recent projects include developing reactive membranes for water purification, corrosion-resistant coatings for sewer systems, and optimizing nature-based solutions for urban drainage. His teaching interests span mathematical modeling, groundwater management, and climatic change impacts.
