Wenlong Yuan is a Professor and holds the Stu Clark Chair in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Asper School of Business, University of Manitoba. His research focuses on entrepreneurship, strategy, and international business, with particular emphasis on corporate entrepreneurship in large firms, top management team dynamics, and entrepreneurial learning from failure. He has held previous academic roles including Associate Professor of Strategy and International Business at the University of Lethbridge. His research explores how multinational enterprise subsidiaries innovate amid institutional constraints, the role of CEO emotional intelligence in strategic learning, and the interplay between leadership styles and organizational ambidexterity. Key areas include the strategic implications of CEO narcissism, affordable loss behaviors, and the adaptation of firms to global disruptions like the pandemic.
