معرفی
Roddy Grieves is a Lecturer in the School of Psychology & Neuroscience at the University of Glasgow. His research focuses on understanding how spatial neurons in the brain map environments, aid memory, and influence learning and decision-making in freely moving animals like rats. He holds a BSc and PhD from the University of Stirling, with postdoctoral work at UCL and Dartmouth College.
Research interests include neuronal activity in spatial cognition, grid cells, place cells, head direction cells, and computational neuroscience. He has received a grant from The Royal Society (2025-2026) for studying the neural representation of time in cognitive functions.
Key contributions span over 17 publications, including work on 3D spatial navigation, predictive maps, and neural correlates of spatial disorientation. He supervises students like Michael Kohl, advancing knowledge in behavioral and computational neuroscience.
