معرفی
Dr. Eleonore Duvelle is a Researcher at the University of Glasgow, affiliated with the School of Psychology & Neuroscience. Her work focuses on understanding how episodic memories are stored in neural networks and influence decisions, particularly through the study of hippocampal place cells in rats navigating complex environments. Key research interests include spatial navigation, hippocampal function, temporal context processing, and the neural basis of decision-making.
Her research employs electrophysiological recordings and computational modeling to analyze how spatial experiences are encoded and used for future actions. Notable projects include investigating 3D spatial navigation, the role of grid cells in volumetric environments, and the insensitivity of place cells to spatial goal values.
Dr. Duvelle has secured a grant from The Royal Society (2025–2026) titled 'The Neural Representation of Time: Implications for Cognitive and Behavioural Functioning.' She supervises graduate student Michael Kohl. Her work spans interdisciplinary collaborations with groups in neurophysiology, cognitive science, and theoretical neuroscience.
Publications highlight contributions to understanding hippocampal coding mechanisms, spatial behavior in rodents, and cross-species comparisons of spatial cognition. Her research bridges experimental and theoretical approaches to uncover fundamental principles of neural information processing.
