Robert Heverly is an Associate Professor of Law at Albany Law School, joining in 2010. Previously, he taught at Michigan State University College of Law and held roles at the University of East Anglia, including directing their LL.M. in Information, Technology, and Intellectual Property. His research focuses on technology's intersection with law and society, covering the quantum internet, drones, AI, and human augmentation. He teaches Torts, cyberspace law, and art/entertainment law. He holds a B.A. from SUNY Oswego, J.D. from Albany Law School, and an LL.M. from Yale Law School. Notable professional roles include Chair of the American Association of Law Schools’ Internet and Computer Law Section, and Reporter for the Uniform Law Commission’s 'Uniform Tort Law Relating to Drones Act.' His research explores ethical and legal challenges posed by emerging technologies. Recent work addresses liability in cyberattacks, drone regulation, and digital rights. He is affiliated with the Center for Quantum Networks and the Yale Law School’s Information Society Project.
