Amanda Hovious

Amanda Hovious is an Assistant Professor in the School of Library and Information Management (SLIM) at Emporia State University. She holds a PhD in Information Science from the University of North Texas, an MS in Instructional Design and Technology from the University of North Dakota, an MLIS from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and a BMus in Music with business electives from DePaul University.

Her research focuses on information literacy, digital equity, and the evolving roles of libraries in community resilience.
