Julia Stronks serves as Interim Dean of the School of Education at Whitworth University, where she has been faculty since 1994. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland, J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law, and B.A. from Dordt College. Her expertise spans constitutional law, religion and politics, gender policy, poverty studies, and school law, with a focus on legal frameworks impacting marginalized communities. Dr. Stronks has directed major initiatives including Whitworth’s homeless youth outreach and the Lives of Commitment Program funded by a $1M Murdock Foundation grant. She co-authored three books with her mother and authored acclaimed legal commentaries like Law, Religion and Public Policy (2002). Her op-eds analyze contemporary legal issues, and her forthcoming So You Want to Be a Christian Lawyer explores professional ethics.
