Anna Tzanaki is an Associate Professor at Lund University’s Faculty of Law, Senior Research Fellow at UCL’s Centre of Law, Economics & Society, and Affiliate Fellow at the University of Chicago’s Stigler Center. She specializes in competition law, corporate governance, and EU law with a focus on common ownership, minority shareholdings, and antitrust policy. Her research has been supported by grants from the EU’s Horizon 2020 program and the Swedish Competition Authority. Education: PhD (University College London), LLM (University of Chicago), LLB (University of Athens), and Erasmus program at Humboldt University Berlin. Postdoctoral research: Harvard Law School (Visiting Research Fellow) and European University Institute (Max Weber Fellow). Her research interests include the intersection of competition law and corporate governance, with publications in top journals like the Journal of Competition Law & Economics . She has advised the European Commission and national competition authorities, contributing to sector inquiries and merger control evaluations. Teaching includes courses on EU competition law, digital economy regulation, and corporate governance at Lund University, UCL, and other institutions. She has also coached law moot court teams, leading a winning team in the European Law Moot Court in 2022. Awards: Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship (2019). Current projects include a comparative analysis of competition compliance programs and governance in digital platforms. She serves as an Associate Editor for Journal of Competition Law & Economics and peer reviews for leading legal and interdisciplinary journals.
