Eva Durall Gazulla is an Academy postdoctoral researcher at the INTERACT research group within the Faculty of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering at the University of Oulu. Her work focuses on Child-Computer Interaction, participatory design, data literacy, and STEAM education. She holds a D.A. degree and has coordinated international technology forecasts in learning and education, emphasizing participatory design approaches with young people. Her research integrates critical perspectives and futures techniques to foster democratic pedagogy in learning environments. Current projects include Critical ChangeLab (Horizon Europe-funded, 2023-2026) and Critical DataLit (Finnish Research Council-funded, 2023-2027), which explore youth data literacies and democratic values in technology design. These initiatives employ creative practices and design futuring methods to empower marginalized voices in education and citizenship. Eva has contributed to over 50 publications, focusing on technology ethics, participatory design, and speculative design methodologies. Her work bridges academic research with practical applications in primary/secondary education, informal learning, and community maker spaces. She actively participates in global educational technology networks and advocates for equitable technology access through inclusive design frameworks.
