Marianne Riddervold is a Research Professor at the ARENA Centre for European Studies at the University of Oslo, specializing in international relations and European integration. Her work focuses on transatlantic relations, EU foreign policy, maritime security, and crisis management. She holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Oslo (2011), with research conducted at Harvard Kennedy School. Riddervold has held visiting positions at UC Berkeley and served as a Senior Fellow there. Previously, she was a Professor of International Relations at Inland Norway University. Her research interests include EU institutional dynamics, transatlantic security relations, and global commons governance. Key projects include the Horizon-funded RECLAIM (post-truth politics), REDIRECT (representative democracy), and TransatDefence (transatlantic defense shifts).
