Jinyi Fu is an Associate Professor in the Accounting and Finance department at the Collat School of Business, University of Alabama at Birmingham. He has held this position since June 2011, previously serving as an Assistant Professor at the same institution from 2011 to 2013. Prior to UAB, he was an Assistant Professor at San Jose State University (2006-2011). His research examines topics such as price momentum, earnings forecasts, managerial incentives, mutual fund portfolios, debt maturity structures, and corporate governance mechanisms. Publications: His articles explore market anomalies, corporate decision-making, and governance structures, with recent work analyzing the interplay between price momentum and earnings expectations. Recurring themes include information asymmetry, behavioral biases in finance, and strategic corporate policies.
