Dr Cristina Delgado-Garcia is a Lecturer in Theatre and Performance at the University of Glasgow's School of Culture and Creative Arts. She holds a PhD in Theatre Studies (Aberystwyth) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice (Birmingham), and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Her research focuses on contemporary British and European theatre since 1990, exploring political and philosophical intersections with current socio-historical contexts. Education: BA in Journalism and English Philology (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona), MA in Post-1900s Literatures (Manchester). Professional background includes festival organization, radio, and journalism. Current roles include PGR convenor and convenor for MLitt Playwriting & Dramaturgy. Research interests emphasize politically motivated theatre, queer identities, ecology, and democratic representation. Recent publications include co-editing Affects in 21st-Century British Theatre (2021) and a forthcoming monograph on Tim Crouch. Grants include a €50,000 project on 'British Theatre in the Twenty-First Century' (2017-2020) and a DAAD-funded study on 'Precariousness in Theatre' (2014). Supervises three PhD projects: Nic Green (pandemic Scottish theatre), Alan McKendrick (live art dramaturgy), and Léa Moniotte (multilingual Scottish theatre). Teaching includes courses on 21st-century British theatre, performance theory, and playwriting. External roles: editorial board member for Journal of Contemporary Drama in English and Liverpool University Press' Playwriting and the Contemporary series.
