Joseph Katz is a Professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at San Diego State University (SDSU), part of the College of Engineering. His research focuses on aerodynamics, fluid dynamics, automotive safety, and propulsion systems. He holds a Ph.D. and DSc from Technion University, Israel. Professor Katz has received numerous awards, including multiple SDSU Outstanding Faculty Awards and a NASA Space Act Award for his work on the PMARC code. His research interests span internal combustion engines, heat transfer, wind tunnel measurements, naval propulsion, and UAV design.
