Magdalena Malinowska serves as Professor and Dean's Representative for Student Research Groups at Tadeusz Kościuszko Cracow University of Technology's Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology, Department of Organic Chemistry and Technology. Her academic career spans over a decade with international research collaborations across three continents. Her educational foundation includes: MSc Eng. in Light Organic Technology (2008) Dr. Eng. (2017) both from Tadeusz Kościuszko Cracow University of Technology. Her research specializes in natural product chemistry and cosmetic science , focusing on plant metabolite extraction, purification, and structural modification for bioactive applications. Using advanced analytical techniques (HPLC-MS, UV/VIS, IR, NMR), she investigates structure-property relationships of compounds while maintaining plant cell cultures under in vitro conditions and performing chemometric calculations. Recent publications demonstrate consistent specialization in plant-derived cosmetic ingredients, with her 2020 grape cane extract study exemplifying her approach to evaluating multifunctional biological activities and bioavailability for skin rejuvenation applications. Her scientific recognition includes: Rector's Team Award for Scientific Achievements (2016) "Student Inventor" Competition Special Award (2017) International Invention Exhibition IWIS Bronze Medal (2017) As Dean's Representative for Student Research Groups, she mentors emerging scientists while teaching specialized courses including Chemistry of Cosmetic Raw Materials and Business Strategy for Scientists. Her international research experience encompasses training at University of Alberta (2015), research internships at Poland's Institute of Catalysis and Surface Chemistry (2014), and University of Tours' Plant Biomolecules Laboratory (2019-2020). Her laboratory work centers on plant metabolite applications in cosmetic formulations, with strong industry-relevant research connecting phytochemistry to practical product development through international collaborations.
