Alberto Alfano

Alberto Alfano is a fixed-term Researcher (SSD BIO/10) at the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli, where he has been teaching since 2022. He holds academic affiliations across multiple degree programs, including Molecular Biotechnology, Environmental and Workplace Prevention Techniques, and Pharmacy.

His research focuses on the design, development, and characterization of biotechnological processes for biomedical applications, particularly in fermentative production in bioreactors and purification via membrane systems (micro-ultra-nano filtration and dialysis). He has authored 23 original research articles in peer-reviewed journals with impact factors and contributed to technology transfer projects, including industrial-scale polysaccharide production at IBSA China.
