Ayaka Tsuchiya is an Assistant Professor at the Advanced Research Center for Human Sciences, Faculty of Human Sciences. She earned her Doctor of Science from Tokyo Institute of Technology in 2023 and has held teaching roles at Waseda University and Tokyo Seitoku University. Education: PhD in Computer Science (2023, Tokyo Institute of Technology), MSc in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (2016, Shibaura Institute of Technology), BEng in Engineering and Design (2014, Shibaura Institute of Technology) Research: Focus on body movement synchrony in communication, neural synchronization in social interactions, autism spectrum disorder (ASD) behavioral analysis, VR systems for gaze behavior comparison, and reinforcement learning in decision-making. Her recent publications analyze interpersonal coordination through neural and physical synchrony, with applications in autism research and virtual reality. She has received multiple awards for collaborative media art projects using RT middleware (2013-2015) and a Special Theme Session Award at HCG Symposium 2017. She serves on committees like the Communication Behavior Engineering Research Group and Communication Quality Research Committee.
