Cetta Mainwaring is a Senior Lecturer in International Relations at the University of Edinburgh, joining in 2023 after prior roles at the University of Glasgow and Waterloo University (Canada). She holds a DPhil in International Relations from the University of Oxford (2012). Her work focuses on migration, borders, and solidarity, with a particular emphasis on the Mediterranean region. In 2022, she secured a UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship to investigate immigration detention policies and resistance movements in the UK, US, and Australia.
