Mary Bosworth is a Professor of Criminology at the University of Oxford’s Centre for Criminology and a Fellow of St Cross College. She co-founded Border Criminologies, an interdisciplinary research group examining intersections between criminal justice and border control. Her work focuses on immigration detention, deportation, and the penalization of migration, with fieldwork conducted across Europe, the US, and Australia. She holds leadership roles as Director of Graduate Studies for the MSc in Criminology and chairs admissions for Criminology programs.
