Min Shi is an Associate Fellow at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and a leading expert in financial valuation and damages quantification. She holds a PhD in Economics from Harvard University and has over 20 years of experience in commercial litigation and international arbitration. Her expertise includes expert testimony in high-profile cases across courts in London, Jersey, Nanjing, and arbitration venues in Zurich, Paris, and Washington DC. Education: PhD Economics (Harvard, 2001), MA Economics (Harvard, 1998), BA International Economics (Beijing University, 1996), and CFA charterholder since 2008. Previously, she was an Assistant Professor of Finance at the University of Wisconsin–Madison (2001–2005) and a Lecturer in Economics at Queen’s College, Oxford (2010–2011). Research focuses on valuation methodologies in post-M&A disputes, damages quantification in contractual breaches, and arbitration frameworks. She has authored numerous articles in Agenda and Global Competition Review , and her work addresses complex financial and legal challenges in global markets. Awards include the Client Choice Award for Arbitration Expert Witness (2020, 2022) and recognition in Who’s Who Legal . She currently serves on Oxera’s Governing Board and teaches valuation topics to MBA/EMBA students at Oxford.
