Dr. Annika Jones is an Associate Professor in Law at the University of Exeter and Director of the Exeter Centre for International Law (ECIL). She previously held the same rank at the University of Durham. Her research focuses on victim participation inclusivity, judicial efficiency in international criminal courts, and gender aspects in legal frameworks. Annika also leads wellbeing and inclusion initiatives in the Exeter Law School. Education: She holds a first-class LLB and an LLM (distinction) in International Criminal Justice from the University of Nottingham, where she also completed her doctoral thesis on ICC case law usage. This work earned her the University of Nottingham Endowed Postgraduate Prize. Research Interests: Her work spans international criminal law, comparative law, and gender studies. Key themes include ICC operational dynamics, victim rights, and the intersection of technology and privacy law. Recent publications analyze victim demographics at the ICC and propose frameworks for regulating 3D printing privacy impacts. Awards: Recipient of the University of Nottingham Endowed Postgraduate Prize for doctoral research (2012). Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA). Leadership Roles: ECIL Director, part of the Law School leadership team, and editorial board member of the International Criminal Law Review. She advises on student research in her areas of expertise. Labs/Teams: Leads the Exeter Centre for International Law, fostering collaborative research in global legal issues.
