Prof. Arnold Bakker is a Full Professor of Work and Organizational Psychology at Erasmus University Rotterdam, leading the Work and Organizational Psychology research group. He also serves as Secretary General of the Alliance for Organizational Psychology and holds adjunct professorships at Lingnan University (Hong Kong). His research focuses on positive organizational behaviors such as work engagement, flow, and job crafting, emphasizing the JD-R (Job Demands-Resources) theory co-developed with Evangelia Demerouti. Key contributions include internet applications like the Job Demands-Resources Monitor and the Happiness Indicator.
