Ada Ferri is a Professor at the Department of Applied Science and Technology (DISAT) , Politecnico di Torino , Italy, since 2014. With over 20 years in textile technology research, she leads the Comfort Lab , focusing on sportswear development and validation. She collaborates extensively with textile companies and academic partners in materials science and medicine. Research Interests include advanced textile functionalization, thermal comfort of sportswear, sustainable dyeing processes, and supercritical CO2 applications. Leadership Roles : Scientific Director for AUTEX membership, EPSI member, and coordinator of multidisciplinary projects like SUMMIT and METEO. Teaching : Courses on high-performance fibers, thermodynamics, and textile technology for Industry 4.0 and chemical engineering programs. Scientific Contributions : 15+ peer-reviewed articles on dyeing, antimicrobial textiles, and wearable tech. Notable projects address microplastic mitigation and biomedical textile applications.
