Adrian Smith is a Professor of Technology and Society at the Science Policy Research Unit (SPRU) within the University of Sussex Business School. He has been affiliated with SPRU since 1997 and serves as a Visiting Researcher at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid's Centro de Innovación en Tecnología para el Desarrollo Humano. His research focuses on the governance and politics of innovation for sustainability, particularly in grassroots movements, socio-technical transitions, and post-growth societies.
