Ralph E. Brodt, III serves as an artist-lecturer of trombone and low brass at Moravian College and Muhlenberg College with over 40 years of instructional experience. He actively shapes music education in the Lehigh Valley while maintaining a robust performance career across multiple professional ensembles and community bands. His educational background includes: Degree from Moravian College under Dr. Henry Schmidt, Donald Spieth, and Richard Schantz Brodt specializes in brass performance and orchestral conducting , with deep expertise in trombone and low brass techniques. His career spans symphonic orchestras, pit orchestras for theater productions, big bands, and community ensembles. He actively arranges music and conducts the Nazareth Area Community Band, demonstrating commitment to both classical and contemporary performance traditions. Throughout his career, Brodt has mentored countless private students and directed music programs including his tenure as Director of Music at Allentown Central Catholic High School. His professional activities integrate teaching, performance, instrument repair through Nazareth Music Center, and military-affiliated musical service from his time as a USMC captain.
