Professor Xiaojun Wang is a Chair in Operations and Supply Chain Management at the Department of Management, Birmingham Business School, University of Birmingham. He previously served as a Professor of Operations Management and Head of the Operations and Management Science, Innovation & Healthcare Academic Group at the University of Bristol School of Management. PhD in Management Studies, University of Liverpool, 2008 MSc in e-Business Management, University of Warwick, 2003 BSc in Computer Science, Zhejiang University, 2001 His research spans Operations and Supply Chain Management , with a focus on sustainability, low carbon manufacturing, coopetition, healthcare operations, e-business innovation, and machine learning applications. He employs analytical and empirical methods such as game theory, optimization, and econometrics to address real-world challenges with economic, societal, and environmental impacts. His recent publications reflect a strong trend in digital transformation, sustainable operations, and data-driven decision-making , with a growing emphasis on integrating AI and machine learning into supply chain analytics and green innovation.
