Her research interests span representation, consumption, and social practice, with a strong focus on gender, sexuality, age, and class through an intersectional lens. Pedagogically, she is committed to creating inclusive learning environments. Her work often employs ethnographic and feminist methodologies to critically examine media and marketplace dynamics.
Her recent publications, spanning from 2020 to 2024, reveal a consistent focus on the cultural and ideological dimensions of marketing and media, particularly the stigmatization and exclusion of ageing female sexuality in film, the ideological work of violence in music videos, and enduring heteronormative notions in relationships. These works are published in journals like Journal of Marketing Management and Feminist Media Studies, and in a Routledge research companion on responsible marketing.
