Professor Suha Jaradat is an academic at Edinburgh Napier University's School of Computing, Engineering and the Built Environment. As the UK's first female Professor of Architectural Technology, she has held strategic roles including Head of Construction and Surveying, Research Lead for Built Environment, and School Lead for Research Integrity and Ethics. Her work bridges architectural education, digital innovation, and human-environment interactions through Building Information Modelling (BIM) and sustainable design practices. Principal Fellow of Advance Higher Education (PFHEA) Fellow of Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (FCIAT) and Chartered Association of Building Engineers (FCABE) Recipient of Top 50 Influential Muslim Awards– Europe 2023 Shortlisted for Times Higher Education Most Innovative Teacher of the Year 2024 Her research focuses on BIM lifecycle integration, digital twin applications, and architectural pedagogy. She leads the Centre for Mind and Creativity Research (CEDAR) theme on cognition-driven environmental adaptation and collaborates with Psychology, Engineering, and Computer Science disciplines. Articles demonstrate expertise in net zero barriers, SME BIM frameworks, heritage conservation, and participatory design for marginalized communities. She has secured funding from Innovate UK, Gulf Strategy Fund, and British Council while developing international partnerships with institutions in the USA, UAE, Jordan, Turkey, Egypt, China, and as International Visiting Faculty at Manipal Academy of Higher Education Dubai. Teaching modules include BIM, Architectural Practice, and Sustainable Design.
