Tera McIntosh

Dr. Tera McIntosh is a faculty member at Antioch University with a PhD in Leadership and Change. She teaches across programs in Management, Business, Human Service Administration, and Leadership, while serving on the Chancellor-appointed Anti-Racism Task Force to promote inclusivity in education. Additionally, she co-chairs the PrideERG at Foresters Financial, supporting LGBTQ+ employees in the U.S., U.K., and Canada.

Dr. McIntosh's research focuses on grassroots and transformational leadership, restorative practices, LGBTQ+ quality of life, and social justice. Her work explores community development, organizational behavior, and strategies to reduce workplace toxicity and violence through asset-based approaches and positive deviance.

Her recent publications examine minority stress and inclusion safety among women who sleep with women (WSW), analyzing social-emotional well-being, compartmentalization, and restorative practices in violence prevention. The 2012 article on asset-based community development highlights her long-standing commitment to systemic equity through collaborative frameworks.

Dr. McIntosh also teaches courses in organizational behavior, leadership ethics, and conflict resolution at institutions like Atlantic University, University of Idaho, Robert Morris University, Carnegie Mellon’s Osher School of Learning, and Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s Gangs, Drugs and Violence Program. Her nonprofit work spans coffeehouses, spoken word organizations, and an animal rescue in Asheville, NC, reflecting her passion for community-driven change.
