Dr. Zhong Zhang is a Lecturer in Chinese Studies at the School of East Asian Studies, University of Sheffield. He holds a PhD in Law from the University of Manchester and has extensive experience in legal practice in China, including a 7-year tenure in city government. His research focuses on corporate governance, legal frameworks in China, economic development, and the interplay between law and finance. He has contributed to the White Rose East Asia Centre as a Post-Doctoral Fellow and Academic Research Fellow.
Education: PhD in Law (University of Manchester), LLM from the UK, and legal training in China. His career transitioned from practicing law to academia, driven by an interest in legal and economic dynamics in China.
