Zach Callahan (b. 1984) is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in Photography and Imaging at Cal State Long Beach and ArtCenter Pasadena. He holds a BA in English Literature (University of Central Florida, 2006) and an MFA from the University of Hartford (2017, merit scholarship recipient). His work explores urban sociology through photography, focusing on class dynamics and everyday life in Los Angeles. In 2024, he self-published EXHAUST, a monograph examining the city's car-centric culture. Co-founder of Seasons, an artist-run platform for contemporary photography, he also contributes to Wax Poetics magazine with jazz-focused journalism.

Research interests include urban visual ethnography, photographic storytelling, and the intersection of art with socio-cultural critique.
