Yuxin Li is a Senior Tutor and PhD candidate in Medical Law at Durham Law School, Durham University. She concurrently serves as Deputy Convenor of Durham CELLS (Centre for Ethics and Law in the Life Sciences) and Fellow of the Institute for Medical Humanities. Her research focuses on reproductive technologies, legal ethics, and comparative law between China and the UK, particularly analyzing criteria for accessing assisted reproductive technologies (ARTs).
Yuxin holds an LLB (Hons) and LLM from Durham University and University College London. She has extensive teaching experience as a part-time tutor for modules like EU Law and Tort Law, and since 2024, she serves as Senior Tutor responsible for guiding part-time tutors and developing teaching handbooks. She also oversees the Senior Common Room at St. Aidan’s College and represents PhD students at Durham Law School.
Her recent work explores egg freezing rights for Chinese women and comparative regulatory frameworks for ARTs. Her articles and conference presentations address ethical, legal, and cultural dimensions of reproductive technologies. She has contributed to the Durham Pro Bono Blog on Brexit-related legal issues and co-authored a 2024 Medical Law International paper on ART access rights in China.
