Prof. Yuwen Li serves as Full Professor of Chinese Law at Erasmus School of Law, Erasmus University Rotterdam, where she directs the Erasmus China Law Centre. She concurrently holds the position of EUR's China Ambassador and co-founded the Asia-Pacific and Europe Law Institutes Alliance (APELIA) as its co-chair.
Her academic foundation includes:

Research focuses intensely on Chinese legal frameworks with specialized expertise in foreign investment regulation, international investment treaties, and China's judicial infrastructure. Her work bridges civil procedural mechanisms and administrative litigation systems within China's evolving legal landscape, emphasizing comparative analysis across jurisdictional boundaries. This scholarship directly informs transnational legal cooperation initiatives.
Prof. Li has spearheaded over ten Sino-Dutch legal collaboration projects involving China's National Judges College, Supreme People's Procuratorate, Ministry of Civil Affairs, and correctional police institutions. These initiatives demonstrate sustained grant acquisition and cross-border institutional partnership development.
She leads the Erasmus China Law Centre while expanding APELIA's network of academic institutions across the Asia-Pacific and Europe, creating platforms for joint research and policy dialogue on contemporary legal challenges.
