Yuwei Pan

Yuwei Pan is a Research Fellow at University College London (UCL), affiliated with the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health and the Institute of Epidemiology & Health. They hold a PhD in Epidemiology and Public Health from UCL (completed December 2024) and an MSc in Social Epidemiology from UCL (2019). Their research focuses on social determinants of health, particularly the impact of labor market characteristics on health outcomes in aging populations. They are part of the UCL Central and Eastern European Health Research Group and contribute to Sustainable Development Goals 3 (Good Health), 5 (Gender Equality), 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation).

Research interests include longitudinal analysis of health disparities, labor market dynamics, and the reliability of self-reported health metrics. Their work leverages data from the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS). They are available for collaborative projects, peer review, and academic speaking engagements.
