Dr. Yuli Liang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fashion Merchandising at Texas State University's School of Family & Consumer Sciences. She joined the institution in Summer 2020 and specializes in integrating technology into fashion supply chains and consumer behavior analysis. Her teaching includes courses on global manufacturing and logistics. Dr. Liang's research focuses on visual retailing, digital commerce, and multi-channel retail strategies.
Her research explores how consumer traits like gender, ethnicity, and fashion interest influence visual attention in advertisements, leveraging eye-tracking technology. She has also studied pandemic-era consumer behavior, including DIY face mask production and remote work attire preferences.
- Awards: ITAA Paper of Distinction Award (2021), ACRA Best Track Paper Award (2022), and 2nd place in ITAA Best Paper Award (2017).
