Yu Yuan

Dr. Yu Yuan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Central Florida. With a PhD from Princeton University and postdoctoral experience at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, his research focuses on novel synthetic methodologies for medicinal applications.

His laboratory develops efficient synthetic routes to biologically active compounds, particularly targeting antimicrobial and antiplasmodial agents. Current projects include total synthesis of natural products, antibiotic design, and medicinal chemistry approaches to colorectal cancer treatment.
