Yanrong Jia is an Assistant Professor at the Stan Ross Department of Accountancy, within the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College, City University of New York. She earned her PhD and BSBA in Accounting and Finance from Washington University in St. Louis.

Her research focuses on Accounting, Enforcement, and Corporate Governance, with recent work analyzing SEC enforcement actions, insider trading activity, and the role of Exchange-Traded Funds in financial reporting. She has presented at conferences including the Hawaii Accounting Research Conference, Baruch/SWUFE Research Symposium, and AAA Annual Meeting.
Current research projects include:
- Deterrence effects of SEC enforcement
- Working capital efficiency and accruals
- Goodwill impairments in the ETF era
She serves on departmental committees and participates in professional service activities as a reviewer for journals and conferences.
