Kalin Kolev is an Associate Professor at the Stan Ross Department of Accountancy, Zicklin School of Business, Baruch College, CUNY. Holding degrees from Lehigh University (BS, MS) and New York University (MPhil, PhD), his expertise spans financial accounting, capital markets, and corporate governance.

His work has been published in journals like Management Science and The Accounting Review. Recent studies explore the risk-relevance of Street earnings and regulatory filing reviews.
His scholarly contributions include analyzing the economic cost of cybersecurity breaches through information spillovers and evaluating the role of non-executive employee ownership in corporate risk-taking. He has presented at institutions such as Yale University, Dartmouth College, and the NYU-Yale Conference.
