Yaniv Nachum

Yaniv Nachum is a Lecturer at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam (CvA), where he has been teaching since 2003. He is affiliated with the Jazz department and serves multiple roles including educator, research coordinator for the Music Research Group, and e-learning specialist.

His educational background includes studies at the Israeli Jazz Academy (Rimon), Conservatorium van Amsterdam, and The Manhattan School of Music in New York.

Yaniv specializes in jazz improvisation and big band/ensemble conducting. His research interests span across:

• Jazz improvisation techniques
• Ensemble conducting methods
• Music theory and composition
• E-learning and digital education platforms
• Hybrid educational models for music production

As an e-learning specialist, Yaniv has played a key role in developing CvA Online, the Conservatorium's online education platform, and the AEMA Hybrid electronic music curriculum. His work focuses on creating effective digital learning environments for both students and instructors.

Yaniv is also active as a musician, having performed with various orchestras in the Netherlands, toured internationally, and collaborated with world-renowned ensembles and musicians.
