Yamini Meshram

Yamini Meshram is a Research Fellow and Doctor of Philosophy in the Division of Cell Matrix Biology & Regenerative Medicine at The University of Manchester. Her research focuses on radiation-induced alterations in extracellular matrix (ECM) structures and their impact on cancer cell behavior, employing techniques like mass spectrometry and RNA sequencing. She holds a Master’s in Biotechnology from Dr. Ambedkar College, India (2018), and a PhD in Cancer Sciences from her current institution. Her work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to health and innovation.

Key roles include serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, PGR Student Representative, and committee member of the Doctoral Academy Graduate Society. She is affiliated with platforms like the Manchester Cancer Research Centre and Christabel Pankhurst Institute. Her research interests span ECM biology, radiotherapy, and personalized cancer therapies.

Awarded the 2024 Best Contribution to PGR Environment Award and 2020 Research Excellence Award, her publications explore cancer immunology, CAR-T cell therapies, and pandemic virology. She actively engages with professional networks such as the British Society for Matrix Biology and the European Association for Cancer Research.
