Yael Perry

Dr. Yael Perry is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the UWA Medical School, affiliated with the UWA Centre for Child Health Research and The Kids Research Institute Australia. She holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of New South Wales and completed a postdoctoral fellowship under Dr. Aaron Beck at the University of Pennsylvania. Perry chairs the Australian Regional Network for INQYR, focusing on queer youth resilience.

• Harm reduction approaches for substance use
• Community-partnered intervention development

Recent work focuses on trans adolescent stigma, suicidal behavior coping strategies, and e-cigarette use patterns. She has secured over A$160,000 in grants from the Department of Health (WA) and Medical Research Future Fund.
