Dr. Xinli Huang is a Lecturer in International Business at the Sheffield University Management School, University of Sheffield. She holds a PhD from The University of Western Australia, an MSc and BSc (Honors) from the University of International Business and Economics. Her research focuses on emerging multinational enterprises, creative industries, and regional development dynamics, with notable work on strategic asset-seeking acquisitions, global value chains, and the Belt and Road Initiative's impact on investment flows. She has held prior positions at Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU) and the University of Western Australia. Huang is an Associate Editor of Chinese Management Studies and active in professional organizations like the Academy of International Business (AIB) and Academy of Management (AOM). Her teaching includes modules on international business and digitalization in global contexts.
Research interests span emerging market firms' internationalization, creative economies, and technology upgrading. Recent publications analyze geographic relational approaches to firm innovation, renewable energy investment dynamics, and cluster linkages in global production networks. Huang’s work bridges theoretical frameworks with practical applications in global strategy and sustainability.
