Dr. Xueli Huang is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Management at RMIT University, Australia. Her research focuses on international business, including Chinese foreign direct investment (FDI) in Belt and Road countries, political risk management, corporate social responsibility (CSR), and sustainable development. She has published extensively in leading journals such as Industrial Marketing Management and Asia Pacific Journal of Management.
Education: PhD from Monash University, Master of Engineering from Wuhan University of Science and Technology, and a postdoctoral fellowship at Edith Cowan University's Small and Medium Enterprise Research Centre. She has held roles such as Deputy Director of the Australia-China Iron and Steel Industry Training Centre and Head of School of Business Studies at Wuhan University of Science and Technology.
Teaching focuses on strategic management and international business. She has supervised over 20 PhD candidates to completion and is open to supervising Masters and PhD students in her research areas. Her work emphasizes cross-border strategies, corporate governance, and sustainable development in emerging markets.
Key contributions include studies on Chinese OFDI in Africa and Australia, CSR integration in manufacturing, and community engagement practices of Chinese firms abroad. She is affiliated with RMIT's management programs and contributes to policy initiatives like Australia-Japan and Australia-China collaborative reports.
