Dr. Sophia Ji is a Lecturer in the Department of Accounting, Info Sys & Supply Chain at RMIT University, Australia. With over two decades in academia and prior industry experience as a Management Accountant at Wuhan Iron and Steel Ltd, she bridges theoretical knowledge with practical insights. Her research focuses on sustainability accounting, corporate social responsibility, and institutional entrepreneurship in Chinese accounting history. She is committed to advancing academic scholarship while maintaining strong industry ties.
Dr. Ji’s teaching excellence has been recognized through College and School awards. Her approach emphasizes authentic learning and real-world applications, integrating contemporary business cases and global thought leadership. She regularly updates course materials to reflect evolving accounting practices and sustainability frameworks.
Her research spans environmental accounting transparency, SDG reporting, and interdisciplinary accounting methodologies. She has authored studies on corporate disclosures related to contaminated sites and contributed to commissioned reports on SDG measurement for ASX150 companies.
