Xinhui Huang is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the University of Maine’s Maine Business School, Department of Finance. He holds a Ph.D. in Finance from Texas A&M International University (2023), an MBA in Finance from Lawrence Technological University (2018), and a Bachelor of Economics from Liaoning Technical University (2016). His research focuses on corporate finance, economic policy analysis, financial accounting, and environmental sustainability, with an emphasis on interdisciplinary connections between finance, macroeconomics, and policy. Dr. Huang’s teaching philosophy prioritizes student-centric approaches in corporate finance and financial management.
His research explores topics such as trade policy uncertainty’s impact on firms, regulatory proximity effects, and the role of political parties in corporate governance. Recent publications appear in Global Finance Journal, Review of Corporate Finance, and Applied Economics. He has been recognized with awards including the Best Student Paper Award at the 27th Annual Western Hemispheric Trade Conference (2023) and the CMA Program Scholarship (2016).
Dr. Huang actively contributes to academic communities through presentations at conferences like the Southwestern Finance Association. He is affiliated with professional organizations such as the Financial Management Association and the Southwestern Finance Association.
