Wilma Zaal Delonchamp is a Lecturer at Vancouver Island University (VIU) and serves as the Chair of the Practical Nursing Program within the School of Health Sciences and Human Services. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Laurentian University in 2004, earned a Master’s of Science in Nursing in 2009, and obtained a postgraduate degree from the Ontario Training Centre for Health Policy and Health Services Research, a consortium of six Ontario universities.
- Clinical Expertise: Public health, pediatric acute care, adult/neonatal intensive care, midwifery, and geriatrics.
- Teaching Roles: Lecturer, clinical instructor, faculty advisor, preceptor, laboratory instructor, and course professor.
Her research focuses on barriers and facilitators to interdisciplinary collaborative practice in maternal child health. As Chair, she prioritizes enhancing student experiences and driving organizational excellence in the Practical Nursing program.
