Ling Ma serves as a Lecturer in the Practical Nursing Program at Vancouver Island University's Faculty of Health Sciences and Human Services, a position she has held since 2016.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Athabasca University. Prior to VIU, she taught Practical Nursing at Bow Valley College (Calgary), The Career College (Vancouver), and Sprott Shaw College (Vancouver) between 2008 and 2016.
With extensive clinical experience in rehabilitation, gerontology, palliative care, and medical settings, Ma fosters critical thinking and personalized learning in her students. Her teaching philosophy centers on empowering students to identify their strengths and reach their full potential through innovative approaches.
