William Doherty

Professor William Doherty is a prominent academic at Queensland University of Technology (QUT), specializing in chemical engineering with a focus on biomass and biopolymer technologies. He holds a PhD from the University of East London and has over 20 years of teaching experience in surface chemistry, carbohydrate chemistry, and sugar quality. His research spans sugarcane processing, biofuel production, and advanced material synthesis, particularly leveraging ionic liquids and catalytic processes.
