Wenjun Wen is an Affiliated Researcher and Research Student in the Department of Accounting and Corporate Finance at Lund University. Their PhD project focuses on the professionalization of China's public accounting profession, combining interdisciplinary research in accounting, transnational regulation, and organizational theories. Previously, they worked as an auditor at Deloitte China (Beijing).
Research Interests: Wenjun's work explores professionalization of accounting, transnational regulatory frameworks, sociology of professions, and qualitative methodologies. Their research frequently examines China's institutional context and its impact on accounting practices and professional development.
- Key Projects: Participated in the 'Standards for assurance in a globalizing world' project (2012–2017) funded by Ragnar Söderbergs Stiftelse.
- Activities: Presented research at conferences including the European Accounting Association Colloquium, Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Accounting, and the Accounting History International Conference. Conducted a visiting research period at Stanford University (2019).
Collaborations include international partnerships focused on China's institutional dynamics and global accounting firm interactions. Their work bridges historical, sociological, and organizational perspectives in accounting studies.
