Weikun YANG

Weikun YANG is an incoming Assistant Professor at the Department of Management, CUHK Business School, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. His research focuses on corporate and competitive strategy through the lens of the Resource-Based View, investigating how product market competition and demand shocks shape firm decisions regarding diversification, innovation, and resource allocation.

He employs formal models and quantitative analyses to study complex strategic issues such as capability selection, resource interdependencies, and competition-innovation dynamics. His empirical work spans diverse sectors including healthcare insurance, oil and gas extraction, and the airline industry.
