Wang Haihui is an Associate Professor and postgraduate advisor at the School of Architecture, Southeast University, where he is affiliated with the Department of Urban Planning. He is a registered urban planner and holds memberships in the Small Town Planning Committee of Urban Planning Society of China and the Small Town Planning and Design Committee of Jiangsu Urban Planning Society.

As a researcher, Dr. Wang has led significant funding projects including two National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) programs: "A Study on Intensive Planning for Rural Space in Southern Jiangsu from the Perspective of Policy Analysis" (2011-2014) and "A study on Capital Driven Rural Spatial Change and Planning Response" (2019-2022). He has also published the book "Policy Analysis on Intensive Use of Rural Space in Southern Jiangsu," contributed to two textbooks, and authored numerous professional journal articles. His practical work includes leading and participating in dozens of planning projects such as city master plans, town master plans, industrial park planning, coordinated urban-rural planning, rural community planning, and beautiful village planning.
